Shaykh Dawood Seedat is a spiritual reformer, prolific speaker, counsellor and teacher based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The Shaykh has been active in the work of deen for over two decades.
He initiated his spiritual reformation with Shaykh Maseehullah Khan. Upon his demise, he turned to Shaykh Yunus Patel (the khalifah of Shaykh Hakeem Akhtar) with whom he spent a long time, and went on to become one of his few khulafa (spiritual successors). He studied in Darul Uloom Zakariyya, Darul Uloom Azaadville and Madrasah Taleemuddeen under various luminaries. May Allah have mercy upon them all and preserve their teachings, Aameen.
He joined Masjid-ut-Taqwa in Pietermaritzburg as an Imaam and Teacher from its inception. Shaykh then moved from this Masjid to establish Madrasah Isha’atul Haq; a Darul Uloom in Albert Falls where various islamic sciences are taught including the Aalim course and hifz. Currently, he serves as the principal managing its growth and daily activities. Furthermore, Shaykh travels regularly across South Africa and abroad as a guest speaker. He is also involved in charitable works and Madrasahs in the Middle East.
